RAC RAC Why became a RAC member

The members of the Romanian Advertising Council benefit of:

  • Framework for dialog with the governmental structures involved in regulating advertising;
  • Promoting the interests in an honest, open and responsible way;
  • Prompt information on key topics from the advertising industry, both from local and international sources;
  • A database, knowledge and experience brought by other members and other international bodies.

 
Adhesion to the Romanian Advertising Council is how the company, let it be marketer, advertising agency or media, can demonstrate that it is able to provide active support in its control.
    
RAC members are directly involved in the process of establishing rules by which the entire advertising industry can guide. They can create their own rules, or can influence the legislative process, ensuring healthy development of advertising industry and a correct development of activities related both to the producers, and consumers.
   
Any event (administartiv, legislative or other nature) which restrict advertising or affecting the interests of industries have repercussions on the volume of activity, quality of advertising, freedom of decisions and, implicitly, on incomes. Therefore, it should be a strong body of self-regelementation that represent the interests of all members, and who should have great power to influence regelementation of advertising in general. The authority and the capacity to act of the Romanian Advertising Council increases and improves with each subscription, with each new member.
   
Besides the support received from its members, RAC also enjoys the support of state authorities. RAC is the only self-relglementation organism in Romania, recognized by the National Council of Audio-visual since 2003. The protocol signed with NCA in 2003 also recognizes the Code of Advertising Practice developed by RAC and ensures permanent cooperation between the two structures.
 
RAC members are kept informed about legislative changes in advertising, local or international initiatives to regulate or self-regulate advertising, trends and recommendations at European level or on any other news that can enhance or impair their work.
   
RAC members have access to all information held by the association.
